  • 1 Bunch Black Cabbage
  • 2 Cups Fresh Peeled Beans
  • 3 Tomatoes
  • 2 Potatoes
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 Celery Stalk
  • Savory (or Thyme) to taste
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil to taste
  • salt and pepper to taste


  • Boil the beans for half an hour with a pinch of salt and a little extra water to get good broth
  • In a skillet put 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and brown the onion first and then add the savory or thyme
  • Add the chopped potatoes and then the sliced carrot and celery
  • After a few minutes, add the black cabbage leaves cut into strips and season with salt
  • Let it cook a few minutes with the lid on
  • Remove the lid and add the tomatoes
  • Now add the beans with their broth and let them cook for about 20 minutes
  • Add pepper and oil to taste
