Yield: Makes around 28 to cookies
- 1½ cups plain flour
- 3/4 cup of butter
- 3/8 cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp cornflour
- pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- glazed cherry halves for decoration as neededMETHOD:1.Beat the butter along with the sugar. Beat until fluffy. Add the zest of lemon. Beat well for 10 minutes.2. Add the egg and beat again.3. Combine the flour with the cornflour and salt. Add into the egg mixture with the help of a sieve. Fold gently with the help of a spatula.4. Fill the mixture into a piping bag fitted with a large star nozzle tip.5. Using the piping bag, pipe the mixture onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Top each cookie with glazed cherry half.6. Preheat the oven at 350 F and bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
