Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups of all purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup of lard
  • 3 tbsp of active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of water
  • salt to taste
  • oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Dissolve the active dry yeast in the water and milk at a temperature of about 85 F, then pour it into the flour and start kneading.
  • Add the lard and salt.
  • Continue kneading until the dough is soft, smooth and elastic.
  • Let the dough rise, covered with a plastic sheet, at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough with a rolling pin to a thickness of 1/8 inches and cut out lozenges not with a cogwheel.
  • Fry on both sides in plenty of hot oil and serve hot accompanied by cold cuts or cheese.
