With this sauce, in fact, you can bring to the table all the flavor of sausage: you can use any type on the market, we recommend choosing a well-spiced or spicy type to give your sauce an extra flavor.
Our sausage sauce can be used as a condiment for any kind of pasta. We recommend using it to season gnocchi or conchiglie, which with their shape will be able to properly pick up the sauce.
Bring to the table a meal with flair with our sauce with sausage.
- 9 oz of sausage (i use pork sausage)
- 1 cup of tomato puree
- 1 onion
- oregano to taste
- salt to taste
- extra virgin olive oil to taste
- parsley to taste
- 1 tsp of sugar
- 1 cup of water
Begin preparing your sausage gravy by pouring a couple of tablespoons of oil into a pot.
Cut the sausage into small pieces and pour it into the pot. Be sure to remove the casing from the sausage before cutting it into pieces.
Cook over low heat. Let the sausage brown for about 3 minutes, finely chop the onion and parsley and add them to the sausage.
Now pour in the tomato puree, add salt and season with oregano.
Add the sugar, pour in the water.
Cover and let it cook for 30 minutes.
The sauce will be ready when the water has been completely absorbed and the consistency is thick and full-bodied.
Now your sauce with sausage is ready to season your pasta.
