Italian Meat & Fish Recipes

Homemade Hamburger Italian-Style

Hi everyone.
Today I present my personal recipe for making delicious burgers.

Every Sunday night, I make these burgers for my kids and they love them.

The recipe is very simple to make and requires no special skills.

Leave me feedback if you like the recipe!!!

Makes: 5 hamburger

  • 14 oz of minced meat (i use veal and pork)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup of Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese
  • salt to taste
  • breadcrumbs
  • extra virgin olive oil for frying
  • 1 oz of butter
  • sottiletta or cheddar cheese

In a large bowl, work the minced meat with two eggs, a pinch of salt and 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese.

Add 1 tsp of breadcrumbs and mix.

To make the burgers I use a contraption purchased on Amazon (a small press that shapes the burgers).

Spread a layer of baking paper on the table and sprinkle it with breadcrumbs.

Once the burgers are done, place them on the baking paper.

In a frying pan, pour a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil and the butter.

When the butter has melted, add the burgers one at a time and let them cook over low heat.

I usually let them cook for 25 minutes, flipping the burgers every 5 minutes to make them evenly cooked.

I usually wrap up the last two minutes of cooking by laying a sottiletta on top of the burger and serving it on the plate as soon as the cheese is melted.
