How to Make Spectacular APPLE & YOGURT BUNDT CAKE

Today we prepare a spectacular dessert, an apple cake with the addition of yogurt, a soft and delicate dessert that the whole family will love.

So let’s combine the two put them in a cake pan with a hole and create a wonderful yogurt and apple donut, soft, fragrant and delicious.

Without the addition of butter this bundt cake will turn out very light.

A dessert that evokes memories of childhood, the smells as Granny made this yogurt cake, and even before she put it in the oven I had already stolen an apple.

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of all purpose flour
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup of potato starch
  • 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cup of sunflower seed oil
  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 3 apples
  • 1 tsp of baking powder
  • powdered sugar to taste
  • cinnamon powder to taste
  • juice of 1 lemon

Start by washing the apples, peel them, cut them in half, remove the center core and dice them about half an inch thick.

Place them in a fairly large bowl with the juice of one lemon and cinnamon; the lemon will keep the apple from blackening until it is time to use it.

Pour into a planetary mixer, the sugar and eggs, if you do not have a planetary mixer you can use an electric whisk, when the eggs have become nice and frothy and clear add the oil in a trickle always continuing to work with the planetary mixer, add to the mixture also the yogurt, the flour previously mixed together with the baking powder and the starch, when the ingredients are well blended turn off the planetary mixer ( or the electric whisk) insert the apples and mix well with a cake paddle.

Now you can turn on the oven and heat it to 350 F for 10 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare a doughnut pan of about 8.66 inches opening ones, butter and flour it, tap it to remove excess flour.

Pour in the dough, level it out.

Now the oven will be at the right temperature, bake and bake the doughnut for about 40 minutes.

Always do the toothpick test before baking the doughnut, stick the toothpick in the middle-most part of the cake, if it comes out clean and dry the cake is ready, if the toothpick comes out wet and sticky let it bake a few more minutes.

When the yogurt and apple bundt cake is finally ready (no, don’t eat it right away…gluttonous) let it cool in the mold until well chilled.

Now you can remove it from the mold, dust it with powdered sugar!
