This pie has more apples than dough!
An apple pie that everyone will love!
- 2/3 large apples (Golden it’s ok)
- 2 eggs
- a pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 4 tsp of clarified butter (you can substitute with canola oil or other vegetable oils)
- peel of 1 lemon
- 1 cup of wheat flour
- juice of half lemon
- powdered sugar to decorate
In a bowl add the 2 eggs, a pinch of salt, and sugar.
Using a whisk, beat the mixture until frothy.
Add the milk, clarified butter (you can also use olive oil or other vegetable oil) and the zest of one lemon.
Add the wheat flour and baking powder and mix well.
Peel 2 or 3 large apples and cut them into thin slices.
Sprinkle the apples with the juice of half a lemon and mix well.
Add the apples to the previously prepared mixture and mix well.
Line an 8-inch baking pan with baking paper, brush it and sprinkle with flour.
Place the mixture in the baking pan and bake in a preheated oven for 40-50 minutes at 350 F.
Let the cake cool well by leaving it in the pan.
Dust with powdered sugar and enjoy!
