First, sauté, in a skillet, the finely sliced onion with the oil.

When the onion has darkened slightly, add the diced bacon and let it cook for 1 minute.

Then, add the tomato sauce, stir and let it cook for about 5 minutes, after adding a pinch of salt and a sprinkling of pepper.

Meanwhile, while the sauce is seasoning with the bacon, cook the pasta in a pot.

Season with salt and drain the pasta al dente.

The marshal’s pasta is almost ready.

Now, you need to add the pasta to the sauce and sauté.

In the meantime, to thicken and make the first course even tastier, pour in the fresh cream which will be the binding agent for all the ingredients.

Finally, serve with a basil leaf to decorate and give the dish that extra touch of fragrance.

The original recipe calls for the addition of bacon and for those with a sweet tooth it is possible to enrich the dish with black olives.

For vegetarians, however, it is possible to create a version without bacon, perhaps opting only for black olives.
