INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 roll of puff pastry (Phillo Dough it’s good)
  • 6 tbsp of sugar

 

DIRECTIONS:

Unroll the puff pastry, remove two small side strips to make a more rectangular shape, and sprinkle the surface with sugar.

Roll up two sides until they meet in the center, taking care not to squeeze too tightly (the dough should have room to flake and “puff up” in baking).

Place the resulting roll back in the freezer, wrapped in baking paper or food wrap, and leave it for at least half an hour.

Take the roll again and, with a sharp paring knife, cut it into “slices” about an inch thick; place them on the baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake, in the oven preheated to 390 F, for about 10 to 15 minutes; bake when they begin to brown and let cool a bit before serving..
